About the event
Targeted Management of Concussion is Inner Level's entry level course highlighting the sensorimotor systems of the vestibular, oculomotor and cervical spine and how to assess and manage dysfunction in these systems post-injury. We will also cover autonomic and exercise tolerance testing, and discuss the latest updates from the Amsterdam consensus statement.
Concussion can be complex, and at times overwhelming. Learn some simple strategies to start to decipher which systems are driving your patients' symptoms, and how you can tailor your approach to each individual case.
Inner Level is excited to welcome Dr Olivia Galea to the teaching team for this workshop. Originally from Australia, where she completed her PhD exploring function of the musculoskeletal, sensorimotor and autonomic regulatory systems following mild to moderate traumatic brain injury in the context of clinical recovery. Olivia is a powerhouse in concussion research and has collaborated with familiar names such as Dr Julia Treleaven, Dr Gwen Jull, and Dr Kathryn Schneider.
With a practical, hands-on focus, these workshops are designed to leave you feeling more confident with some useful key skills.
Hosted by Axis Sports Medicine Specialists.
Places are limited and a minimum of two teaching staff will ensure plenty of feedback.
Cost: $310 incl GST (course fee, workbook and assessment resources, morning and afternoon tea, lunch, hot drinks)
