About the event
After a refresh of the teaching content, the Inner Level team is proud to bring a full-day workshop specific to clinicians working with sports-related concussion.
This course is designed for clinicians who want to improve their confidence assessing and managing acute injuries, and have a key role working with non-complex patients.
Recognition of the value of physiotherapy at all stages of a concussion is growing. Some patients need interdisciplinary, complex input - but many don't. Learn how to triage, and set your patients up with a plan from day one to maximise their chances of a good outcome.
Concussion can be complex, and at times overwhelming. Learn some simple strategies to start to decipher which systems are driving your patients' symptoms, and how you can tailor your approach to each individual case.
Content will include:
Recognition, sideline management, and assessment of red flags
Acute management planning
Advice and education to the patient
Screening for involvement of the cervical, vestibular, oculomotor, autonomic systems as well as mood disorders
Key prognostic indicators from your assessment findings
Case studies - including professional and community level athletes
With a practical, hands-on focus, these workshops are designed to leave you feeling more confident with some useful key skills.
Hosted by Axis Sports Medicine Specialists.
Places are limited and a minimum of two teaching staff will ensure plenty of feedback.
Cost: $295 incl GST (course fee, workbook and assessment resources, morning and afternoon tea, lunch, hot drinks)
Register today to receive payment information and secure your spot as these workshops sell out quickly.
